We can use either
digital or film photos to paint your portrait from. Once
completed, you can e-mail us the digital photo or mail us the original
film photo.
-
If using a film
camera, use ISO 400 speed film.
-
Photograph your pet outdoors on a bright or hazy day (this is the best light for a great picture).
-
If photographing indoors, make sure there is plenty of bright natural light from a window. Have your back towards the window with the animal facing towards the light source.
-
Have someone else help you to get the pet's attention while photographing.
-
Take the photograph at the same level as the animal's eyes. This position creates the best portraits.
-
Take several close-up shots of your pet's face so we can better capture your pet's eyes and the expression.
-
If you want multiple animals in a single portrait, take
pictures of the animals together. Also take several individual pictures of each pet
so we can get the details we may need. If necessary, we can combine
several individual pictures into a single painting.
-
Make sure the camera is focused so that
details are sharp. Remember, your pet's portrait can only be as good as the photos you provide.
